My name is Steve Bodeman, I live and work Scottsdale, Arizona, and DamonsDesign.com is my portfolio website. Here I can share my design achievements, a little bit about myself and some examples of my Design and Art(in the near-future, hopefully some Articles/Tutorials/How-To's on current Design/Development trends and just things on my mind.
Art and Design are my passions, I've been an Artist for...well all my life(without knowing it). In the past 3 to 4 years I have become a Designer. I've been designing and developing websites 3 years. When I started web design I had great focus on the interactivity of Flash, Thankfully I dropped Flash in 2010 to embrace the world of Html and Css websites. Developments in HTML5 and CSS3 have far surpassed Flash in interactivity and user experience.
I would, boastfully, describe myself as a well rounded designer and developer, constantly balancing creativity with logic. A more modest self-description would be, that I'm always learning, growing, and improving my skills and knowledge. I love minimalism and usability in the user interfaces.
Good graphic design is at the core of each project, be it for web or print. It's not just about making something look pretty - it's about communicating a message about who a client is, what they stand for, and what they offer.
I can create for you a graphical piece of art that is sure to grab the attention of passers-by, and gives your company, product, site, poster, add, direct mail, band or firm the spark that it needs. May it be a logo concept to help your company/firm grab its brand identity, or an apparel design to advertise your band. Make no mistake, I can get the job done.
Web-design is one of the most challenging aspects of a project to perfect, and one of the most important. In creating a website which encapsulates the ethos, message and presentational needs of a client's company, there's a lot to take into account. Graphic design theory is a useful framework which offers guiding principals which can help your design to succeed, but that's really only a small part of the task. I work with my clients throughout each project to produce sample boards exploring palette, design and theme which we can build upon to create websites that really shine.

In a corporate world that moves so quickly and is so full of competition, it is absolutely paramount that a business has a company logo design that gets the message across about who they are and what they do, in an efficient and effective way. This is precisely why having a good company logo design is so important. Ideally, just one glance of your company logo will impart an impression of your business and do all the marketing for you in that one moment.
It doesn't have to cost a lot to undertake a company logo design project. In fact you can start a company logo design project on a small budget and it will be just as effective as it would if you had spent tens of thousands. If you are working on a budget then consider using a word mark or "logotype" because this is actually much easier for customers to remember than an abstract symbol.
It's not work when your love what you're doing, and I definitely love doing this! My life consists of late nights and early mornings, thanks in part to my coffee IV Drip. I'm a perfectionist. I try to keep a very high standard and work tirelessly to get the best possible results. If my work isn't at its best, then it's not good enough for my clients, as they deserve the best.
